Your job will be to augment the data from vehicles and charge stations with external data sources (weather, altitude, traffic) and support the Data Scientist in creating new machine learning models and pipelines, working on topics like energy consumption prediction, vehicle mass calculation, predictive maintenance and so on.  As the first Data Engineer, you will be the missing link between Data Science, DevOps and Back-end. We are looking for someone that can develop a vision of what data engineering at Zerovolt should look like and can take initiative to move in that direction.





What You’ll Do

  • Design, build and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines to move data across a number of platforms including Data Warehouse, online caches and real-time systems.

  • Use your data and analytics experience to ‘see what’s missing’, identifying and addressing gaps in their existing logging and processes.

  • Provide thought leadership, perform business analysis, and support execution of high-impact strategic projects and mission-critical initiatives.

  • Be an evangelist for data analysis and data-oriented decision making

  • Stay up to date with constantly evolving data analysis landscape and industry best practices

  • Work with key leaders on critical strategic, organizational, and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity, and operational efficiency.

Who You are

  • Strong Fundamental Knowledge of Relational Databases (both Row store and Column store) and Data warehouses, Data Modeling, ETL and BI

  • 5+ years of experience in writing advance SQLs, Performance tuning of SQL Queries and DB Stored Procedures 

  • 3+ years of experience with designing E-R data models (including Dimensional modeling) to improve accessibility, efficiency, Integrity and quality of data

  • 2+ years of experience in ETL design, development and maintenance using standard ETL tools such as Talend, Pentaho, AWS Glue + Athena or any other.

  • 2+ years of Programming experience in building high quality applications, data pipelines and analytics solutions using any one of the popular programming languages such as Python or PySpark
